Printing cheap calendars is easy. However, you might be doing some bad habits that you think you were good as you develop its designs and choose your printing options. Only select sites that explicitly state that their images are public domain or are available for public modification should be actually trusted enough for you to swipe their resources.
All other sites, even blogs should be treated as if their images do have real intellectual property rights. This helps you avoid court issues with your calendar prints and of course makes you behave in a more professional way. Believe me, it is not worth it to swipe somebody else’s image. You are actually better of creating images on your own.
3. Availing of thin covers – For many people who want cheap calendars, they think that going for cheap and thin covers is a good decision to make. Unfortunately this is actually wrong, and is a really bad habit. This is because thin covers will severely cut the lifespan of your calendars.
This makes them more vulnerable, especially in the distribution stage since they will not have the material integrity to resist environmental effects. That is why it is actually more recommended that you at least go for decent quality cover materials that is relatively thick.
4. Availing of the cheapest paper – Also, try to avoid the habit of using the cheapest paper that the printer has on offer for your calendars. Calendar pages themselves are meant to last at least a month. The cheapest and thinnest type of publishing paper won’t last that long really. They will just be like bound flyers when you do this and your printing really will just be wasted. So you better invest in a tad better paper materials that at least will last a month and let your calendars do its job well.
5. Going for cheap binding – Finally, the worst habit that you should avoid is the habit of going for the cheapest binding for calendars. Typically this is the staple binding method really, and when you use this to get calendars cheaply, you will just be setting a very low lifespan for those calendar prints. They will be very lucky if they survive the whole year actually.
With staple binding, most calendars will last just few months to half a year. This is because staples can deteriorate easily because of the moisture on the air, or the constant bending that happens when a page is torn in the calendar. That is why you should at least go for something a bit tougher like ring binding but still is more affordable. If you really care for your cheap calendars, you will at least do this to help them do their jobs.
