That is why it is best to avoid this mistake and try to actually be concise and practical with your content for color brochures.
2. Boring Mistake #2: Using clichés in the content – One of the big booboos in developing brochures is using clichés. It may make for an easily recognizable message no doubt, but it also cheapens your approach, overall making your brochures boring. People will be thinking that it is “that same old line again”, finding nothing memorable or worth paying attention to in your brochures.
That is why it is advisable actually to compose your own original content. The more unique the marketing approach you use, and the more uncommon the content, the more people will remember and put to heart what your color brochures are saying.
3. Boring Mistake #3: Not adding images, symbols or icons – While a brochure is primarily a written form of print meant to communicate a message, it will get boring if it is only full of text. It is a big mistake to just simply ignore images and just focus on text formatting and colors. Images, symbols and icons can all contribute to the effective transmission of that special message making things a lot more interesting. Without them, people will get tired and bored as they read sentence after sentence without a break.
4. Boring Mistake #4: Using classic fonts – Classic or old fonts like Times New Roman, and Arial are just not a good idea for brochures. Since they just look too common and domestic and old, it makes brochures look too common as well, adding nothing remarkable to the brochure print itself. So avoid using those classic fonts. There are tons of other free font styles out there that are fresh out of development, and you should try that. Believe me, your content will not go boring.
5. Boring Mistake #5: Not giving reader value – Finally, we have reader value. If you do not bring something that your readers will find beneficial in your brochures, then your brochures will just be some kind of marketing tool without really a soul or a purpose. People read stuff because they will know they will gain something and you should exploit that by giving those readers real value that they will remember and hopefully will want to keep coming back more.
