Job profile of a computer technical specialist
The computer technical specialist helps people with resolving the problem they face while using a computer. When something goes wrong with the computer, the specialist analyses the reason for it and try to fix the same. The specialist helps the customer over the phone or goes to the persons place to solve the problem. In case the specialist takes the call on the phone, they ask the customer to run through the steps that they had followed. Then they instructs the customer to follow the steps necessary to solve the problem
Some computer technical specialist installs the software, printer, and other tools and also teaches their customer how to use them. In some cases they even check the performance of the computer on a daily basis to know how the computer is performing. Most of the profiles in a specialist include giving feedback to the software development company about the software they had built. The main ability that the specialist needs to possess is the listening and problem solving. Without this the specialist cannot stay in the job for long.
The technicians normally work in a company that provides hardware and software support to their customer after the product is sold to them. Some even work in schools to teach the students how to use a computer and work around. In most of the case the computer technical specialist work "on call" where they have to report to the problems faced by their client at odd hours. This profile, if included, in the job may be deterrent to some specialist as they would always prefer to work on normal working hours. Normally this specialist work for 40 hours per week, but if they are "on call" support, they working hours extend beyond the 40 hours per week.
How to become a technical support specialist
There is various ways by which one can become a technical support specialist. One could just have a graduate degree and start as a fresher. To be surer that you get a qualified and well paid job, there are so many certification courses available that one can enroll. Once yet pass the required examination, the certificate is given. With the help of those certificates one can get the job of a computer technical specialist.
